FAQ
-
What is different about this work from home store?Pivot Interiors partnered with your employer to bring you contract quality furniture, at corporate discounts.
-
What is contract furniture?Contract furniture is any type of furniture that is used for commercial purposes. That could be a chair, sofa, or anything in between. Hotels, offices, airports, corporations and more are some of the top purchasers of contract furniture. Contract grade furniture often looks pretty similar to furniture that you buy for a home. It’s stylish, made with quality materials, and optimized for comfort and use. It does differ in a few key areas though. The major difference between commercial and restaurant furniture is that commercial furniture is designed with heavy use in mind. A chair that is going to be sat on for a few minutes a has different design qualifications than a chair that is going to be sat on for hours at a time at a desk. To meet these demands, contract grade furniture is built with increased durability so it can withstand regular and frequent usage.
-
Why can’t I return items?Contract furniture is usually built at order placement. Manufacturers don’t keep a stock of items, nor do the dealers. Because of that, if a product is returned, we’d have no way to resell it.
-
How long will it take to get my items? Some items can ship in as little as 48 hours, and others take up to 6 weeks. Each item on our store states the current lead (production) time.
-
Do I have to assemble it?Some items do require assembly, but it can be done with a screwdriver.
-
Why is the tax rate charged different than my local rate? The Pivot Store is an accomodation for the employees of Facebook, and run as a "storefront" from our Santa Clara office. As such, all taxes are calculated as if you purchased this in person in Santa Clara, and you must pay the Santa Clara tax rate.
-
Why can't I cancel my order?Within 24 hours of placing your order, the manufacturers begin obtaining the parts needed to build the item. Our vendors are "just in time" manufacturers, and do not stock the parts, but rather buy from their suppliers as they receive orders. We are passing on the same restrictions we have regarding cancellations.
